New bin collection staff recruitment in Rotherham after delays
A recruitment drive is underway after temporary staff were brought in to manage delays to rubbish Council has advertised new roles to boost capacity on routes after frustration from residents over missed a public notice on the council website, it acknowledged the delays had been frustrating for residents, and thanked people for their patience while crews work to catch said: "We know that delays to bin collections in some areas have been frustrating, and we're very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
"We're continuing to take practical steps to resolve the issue - including bringing in and training new temporary staff to strengthen our collection teams. We also have new roles out for recruitment."If your bin hasn't been emptied as expected, please leave it in its usual collection place (where it is safe to do so). Our crews are working hard to catch up and will return to collect it as soon as possible."The council has also published a searchable directory of missed collections. If a street is already listed, residents do not need to report it, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service. Missed bins can only be reported after 15:00 BST on the scheduled day, or the next working day.
